About Us
The year was 1967 when David L. Tautfest began his venture as landlord with the building of the 4 Winds
Apartments on Meadowlane. Over the years he has added more apartments, 4-plexes, duplexes, and single
family dwellings. David L. has endeavored to be able to offer different types of rentals to meet the needs of a
wide range of renters. He has worked tirelessly to provide safe housing that renters can be proud of living in.
Immediate service to take care of problems and repairs and easy availability to the Tautfest owners and
employees are two things that set Tautfest Rental Property apart and make them arguably the best rental
experience in town.
Tautfest Rental Property has been family oriented both in their approach to their renters and in their operation.
While David L. still has a hand in the operation the business, the daily operations have been transferred to his
step-son, Clay Gilliland. This happened with the move of their office to 320 East Main Street, across the street
from Braums. Clay and his wife, Brandi, continue the standards set by David L. and continue the same rental
experience that has been enjoyed by current renters, their parents, and even their grandparents when they were
students at SWOSU. Generational business for a reason!
